The RI Philharmonic Music School has found new ways to continue providing music education to children, teenagers and adults. The use of online tools makes our virtual ukulele lessons easily accessible. Popular virtual learning software, in particular video calling programs, are already installed on your computer or phone. Facetime, Zoom, Skype and Google Hangouts are currently being used by our music teachers. Have questions or comments about our private online ukulele lessons? Give us a call at 401.248.7001.
Private lessons offer a chance for kids to be more hands-on with their learning. They learn autonomy and independence, and they get the opportunity to self-direct their studies. This approach can carry over, giving them insight and knowledge about themselves. They see how practice pays off and see the discipline it takes to learn something new. Playing a musical instrument is fun, and it creates new pathways in the brain. When students are just starting out, matching the notes on the page with the sounds they make on their instruments can feel magical. Kids learn self-esteem, trust and more—all while they're having a good time. If you're interested in registering, click
