MEET THE STAFF: Danielle Meath, Manager of Marketing and Group Sales

Where did you grow up? Bellingham, MA.

What is your favorite song, artist, musical memory? I love oldies, pretty much anything from the 1940s-1960s. Some of my favorite musical memories are going to James Taylor concerts throughout my childhood.

Favorite meal or restaurant? A lobster roll from Red’s Eats in Wiscasset, Maine or dinner at Little Poland in NYC. My favorite restaurants in Providence are Andino’s or Cassarino’s on Federal Hill. Another local hidden gem is Havana Cafe in North Attleboro for amazing Cuban food!

Coffee or Tea? Iced coffee.

You’re stuck on a desert island… What Book, Music/Album/Artist and Movie do you want with you? Book: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Music: James Taylor’s Greatest Hits and Glenn Miller Orchestra and Beatles anthologies. Movie(s): the Back to the Future trilogy because no matter how many times I watch, I will never get sick of them!

What’s your pet situation? No pets! Just a 5 month old son

What’s your title and how would you describe your role? Basically, I coordinate with the Director of Marketing and our Graphic Designer to design and create all marketing materials for the orchestra and school, social media posts, etc. I also run our Group Sales department, working on cultivating and booking groups for RI Philharmonic concerts.

How long have you been at the RI Phil? 6.5 years.

What brought you to the RI Phil? I was working as a Box Office Manager at the Boston Symphony Orchestra while living in Providence and desperately hoping a full time position would open up in RI! So when I saw the Box Office and Sales Manager position open up, I immediately applied and the rest is history.

What do you want people to know about the RI Phil? I’d like everyone to realize the extremely high level of talent we have within our orchestra and music school and be super proud to call them our own!

How are you keeping yourself occupied while being at home all day? Working on multiple work projects, trying to keep up with my 5 month old son Henry, and spending time with my husband.

Any words of wisdom to help others through this? Try to take it one day at a time and make a list of all the fun things you want to do when it’s over.
