Bach’s Birthday Bash Brought Beautiful music to the RI Philharmonic Music School

Students at the Music School ushered in Johann Sebastian Bach’s
334th birthday with—what else?— making wonderful music!



The celebration was a tour de force with performances of some of the renowned German composer’s famous pieces. Check out the video of “Air on the G String” (August Wilhelmj’s arrangement of the second movement in Bach’s Orchestral Suite No.3 in D major).

Music School students celebrating Bach’s birthday are: on violin, Elena Hurtado, Ruta Nikitska and Simone Semerjian; viola Connie Hathaway and Abby Magoon; and piano Maddox Realejo and Irina Tchantceva.
