From 95 North or 95 South:
- Take 195 East (Exit #19 on the I-Way).
- Take Broadway Exit (Exit #6).
- Turn left at the end of exit ramp onto Warren Avenue.
- At first traffic light, turn left onto Pawtucket Avenue.
- At first traffic light, turn right onto Waterman Avenue.
- The Carter Center is the second building on the right, across from Providence Country Day School and the East Providence Police Department.
- Please use first driveway for main entrance and visitor parking.
From 195 West - Heading toward Providence:
- Take the Barrington/Seekonk Exit (Exit #1).
- Bear right at the end of the exit ramp.
- At light, turn left onto County Street.
- At the next light, bear right onto Waterman Avenue.
- The Carter Center is on the left approximately one mile down, across from the East Providence Police Department.
- Please use second driveway for main entrance and visitor parking.
Via the Henderson Bridge:
Take the Henderson Bridge (aka Red Bridge) off Waterman Avenue on the East Side. Stay on the bridge until the last exit on the bridge. Turn right on Broadway. Turn left on Alexander, take first right and cross over Taunton Ave.
Take a left on Waterman Ave – stay right at division in the road – continue on Waterman Ave and cross over Pawtucket avenue. The Carter Center is the third driveway on the right hand side of the road. We are across from Providence Country Day School.

FROM 95 NORTH:
Take exit 22C. Follow signs to the Providence Place Mall. This exit will place you directly on Promenade Street. Follow Promenade Street to the end. The mall parking garages will be right in front of you. Take a left on Park Street. The VETS is on the right hand side, at the corner of Park and Avenue of the Arts Streets.
FROM 95 SOUTH:
Take exit 22A toward Downtown Providence and the Providence Place Mall. Take a left at the light at the end of the exit ramp. At the second set of lights, the state house will be directly in front you. Take a left onto Francis Street. The VETS is the second left off Francis Street on Avenue of the Arts.
PARKING is free at both the State parking lot next to the Capitol building and the lot directly ACROSS Smith Street, or pay $2 for up to 5 hours at the Mall Parking Garage for both Classical and Amica Rush Hour concerts. For every Classical concert the Philharmonic runs shuttle buses between the Capitol parking lot and The Vets entrance: before the concert from 7pm to 8pm and after the concert continuing until the end of Larry's post-concert chat.

From Points North:
Take 95 South to the Atwells Ave exit #21. Go straight through 4 traffic lights and turn left at the 5th traffic light onto Broad Street which becomes Weybosset Street.
From Points South or from Route 195:
Take 95 North to the Broadway exit #21. Turn left. At the next traffic light turn left and proceed through 2 traffic lights and at the 3rd traffic light turn left onto Broad Street which becomes Weybosset Street.
From Worcester/Western Massachusetts:
Take 90 East to Exit 10A (Worcester/Providence, Routes 146/20) which will lead to Route 146 South (Providence). Take Route 146 South and merge on 95 South in Providence. Follow directions for “From Points North.”
