Construction Alert!

Due to construction of The Vets, Park Street is closed to both cars and walking between the Providence Place Mall Garage and Avenue of the Arts, and is limited to one lane of northbound traffic only from Avenue of the Arts to Smith Street. Construction detours are in effect throughout the rest of the current Philharmonic season. Please follow these temporary routes:

For our Patrons Who
: Park in the Providence Place Mall Garage: As you walk out of the garage, please follow signs and Vets employees’ directions, which will take you right to Francis Street, left on Francis to
Avenue of the Arts, and left past the doors of the Renaissance Hotel to the entrance of the Vets.

Take our free shuttle buses from the state lots on smith street:  (Classical series only)
For every Classical concert the Philharmonic runs shuttle buses between the Capitol parking lot and The Vets entrance: before the concert from 7pm to 8pm and after the concert continuing until the end of Larry's post-concert chat. During the construction, the buses will run as usual, however they will enter Avenue of the Arts from Francis Street instead of Park Street . A volunteer will be on each bus to answer any questions, and will alert you to where to find the buses after the concert.

Need to drop someone off at the Vets door:
Please enter Avenue of the Arts from Francis Street instead of from Park Street, and follow the directions of the security staff. (Park Street is closed to traffic from Smith Street to Avenue of the Arts.) The Vets' concierge will be able to guide any patrons needing assistance.

Valet Parking:

Because many patrons have requested it, we are pleased to announce that Valet Parking will be available to all patrons - for a fee, from Laz Parking - for our Saturday, May 4 Season Finale performance of Mahler 2. Valets will wear blue jackets, and will be located directly in front of the Vets; please enter the Vets Plaza from Francis Street. We expect a very large crowd for this concert, so please leave adequate time for the extra traffic that may result.
Details for Valet Parking:
Fee: $25 (+ $3.50 fee if you reserve online in advance)
Limited Availability: Space for only 50 cars

Drop your car: In front of the Vets*
Cars will be parked by the valets in a distant state parking lot that typically does not fill with our patrons' cars. We apologize to anyone inconvenienced at the last concert due to an incorrect lot closure; that issue has been resolved with the use of the more distant lot. Please note: This is a trial offering, which we hope to be able to continue next season.
  * If you are dining at the Renaissance Hotel before or after the concert (including Philharmonic Supper Club), or staying there as a guest, you will pay a different rate and should not reserve valet parking in advance. Please drop your car with the valet in front of the hotel, not the Vets. Supper Club valet fee is $15.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while the Vets improves its facility. They have assured us that they will work diligently to minimize the disruption for our patrons. We know you will be thrilled with the new amenities this construction will bring to the hall.
